LWHS PTSA Virtual College Application Workshops - Now Available on Wednesdays FREE College Application Workshops are back and will be held virtually via Zoom. Trained tutors are available to help with your application questions and essays/personal statements. Students must sign up in advance for a 30 minute slot to meet one on one with the tutor and PTSA monitor. Parents are welcome to join the call as well. Laptop Rollout: Help needed with distributing laptops
Ms. Courage has requested volunteers to help pass out laptops. Volunteers are needed in 2-hour shifts on Tuesday, 8/25 from 9AM - 3PM; 8/26 from 12 noon to 6PM; and 8/27 from 9AM - 3PM. Families will drive through and not get out of their car. Please wear a mask and gloves will be provided. Everyone will be required to sign an attestation form . The attestation form simply is a statement that the signer agrees that their temperature was taken and it was normal within the last two of hours of entering the building. There are several programs and opportunities throughout the year that provide support to families. If your family is in need of support this year, you can find more information about each program and a form to request assistance here .  Please only one form per student. We hope to receive responses from families by next  Friday, October 2 nd  so we can collect/coordinate as many of the needed supplies as possible to support our students and families. TONIGHT! PTSA General Membership Meeting (Virtual) and LWHS Principal Update Our first General Membership Meeting of the year will be Wednesday,   September 16  beginning at  7:00pm . The week of August 17, a number of District administrators provided updates on virtual school plans during two Live Broadcast events. Over 3,600 viewers participated in each of the Live Broadcasts. On the first broadcast, participants heard about the District’s Equity work, Elementary Education, and Special Education Services. On the second broadcast, participants heard about Secondary Education, Family Technology Supports, and Health & Safety.
