PTSA, the Parent Teacher Student Association, is all about CHILD ADVOCACY. Our organization aims to influence decisions that impact the well-being of children within political, economic, and social systems, as well as institutions. Did you know that the PTA, within its 100+ year history, played a major role in the establishment of: Universal Kindergarten classes; Child labor laws; Public health service; Hot and healthy lunch programs; Juvenile justice system; Mandatory immunization; Arts in Education; and School Safety.
This rich history continues today at the national, state and local level, as we continue to advocate for our children in important & impactful ways. Every member's voice amplifies our message and makes a difference. Becoming a LWHS PTSA member means standing on the side of children all across our country.
