Thanks to the generosity of our PTSA Membership and Pass-the-Pouch donors, we have been able to fund additional grant requests, including:   $500 - Winter Fest – Funding to purchase materials and snacks to support a fun, community-building event for elementary students put on by LWHS ASB leadership on January 16th.   $1210 - Robotics Advisor Half-Stipend – This will fund an additional LWHS staff member to serve as an advisor for Code Purple , LWHS’s award-winning robotics team, during their competition build season.    Additionally, the PTSA continues to fund and/or provide volunteers ... read full article

Loyalty Club Food Drive The LWHS Loyalty Club is holding its annual Holiday Baskets drive. This year, the drive will be a competition between pods, based on students' first period class.   Each pod will have a large donation box, as will the hallway near music/front office and the gym. Students without a first period class can place their donations in the pod of their choice. Reflections Arts Competition: Advancing to the Next Level Sixty-six students participated in the Reflections Arts Competition sponsored by LWPTSA. This year’s theme is: Heroes Around Me. Through art, students honored a variety of heroes including teachers, safety patrol, parents, organ donors, friends, animal rescuers, grandparents, activists, athletes, and heroines in a book.   After judges reviewed each entry in its respective category, 17 students advanced to the Council level.   LW Football Team Inclusion Success Max is a Junior at LW and has been part of the Football Team for three years. His previous two years he served as the team water boy and cheerleader. This year he actively played for the team. While integrating a child with special needs is a different process, Max really wanted to play football. He has enjoyed being with his teammates, cheering them on, and running several touchdowns for the JV team.
