Fear Free Test and other PTSA Events Cancelled
Per the March 5th LWSD Coronavirus update, some PTSA events have been cancelled. This includes the March 7th ACT Fear Free Practice Test. All testing fees will be refunded. Calm Café lunch time program is also on hold. These cancellations are in effect through March 18th at this time but may be extended. “Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update: March 5, 2020 Lake Washington School District (LWSD) is taking the following steps to balance the guidance from Public Health to continue regular school operations while limiting community events. Parent Help Needed to Spruce Up LWHS!    Beautification Day is October 19  LWHS PTSA and ASB team up to lead our fall Beautification Day on Saturday, October 19, from 9-11am. Set-up begins at 8:30 and parent volunteers are needed to help direct students, and/or join in the tasks of weeding, pruning, and mulching. Come for all or part of the event! In April, the PTSA Board requested input from all seniors and their families on how best to honor our graduating seniors during the Covid-19 experience. Thank you to the 137 families who responded to our survey! As a reminder, many customary events which include the graduation ceremony, Senior Sunset and the moving up assembly, are rightfully the exclusive responsibility of the school administration, staff and/or district and not of the PTSA. LWHS PTSA is partnering with Princeton Review to give students an opportunity to take a low-cost, practice SAT or ACT in a real test environment at school. These are actual SAT and ACT tests from previous years, administered and scored by Princeton Review, but because this is practice, scores will not go on students’ record. Scored tests will be returned to students within 1-2 weeks in a free review session. Attendance is not required at the review session, but encouraged. Parents are invited to the review session.. Did your student miss the first round of practice tests? No worries! We have additional Fear Free SAT and ACT Practice Tests with the Princeton Review occurring in December and January.
