How Can You Help?
Get Up to Speed
Educate yourself, friends, and neighbors about the levy by visiting the LWSD levy website and the LWCLC website and share the information.
Like the Campaign Page on Facebook Please visit the LWCLC Facebook pageand like and share the page. Please share posts from the LWCLC and LWSD Facebook pages to your school PTSA Facebook page. There is a lot of great content, pictures and videos that can be shared to build excitement and answer questions.
Endorse the Levy
As PTSAs endorse the levy, they will be added to the LWCLC page. Please put your own personal endorsement on the LWCLC website, too! We need to show all of our support and you are seen as a leader in your community. Thank you.
Letter to the Editor
We need authors! If you are short on time but high on interest, we even have some pre-drafted letters to the editor ready for you to edit and send in! The letter will appear in one of the local community papers. It's so important our community sees names of people that they know who stand behind our LWSD Kids. If you are interested in writing a letter, or using one of ours already written, please email Melissa.
Yard Signs
Yard signs, buttons and stickers are all available for pick up in Kirkland, Redmond and Sammamish. Please contact Melissa with requests.
Newsletter/Website Content
Once your PTSA has voted to endorse and support the levy, here's suggested content for your newsletter and website (if PTSA-run).
Top 3 Reasons to Vote YES on the LWSD Levy
1) The levy will help address critical capacity needs. LWSD has increased 26% over the past decade and it is now the third largest district in the state. LWSD needs more classrooms for students now.
2) District-wide safety enhancements at schools, including exterior cameras at all elementary schools and entrance modifications at high schools.
3) The levy maintains the current tax rate with no tax increase.
Better schools help build a stronger community, which improves our quality of life, and keeps our neighborhoods desirable.
